Abstrakt: V oblasti veřejné politiky, resp. sociální politiky, je dnes často skloňováno slovo „racionalita“, racionalita opatření. Jak je to ale ve skutečnosti s naší schopností racionálně plánovat intervence do společenské reality? Není naše schopnost objektivně posoudit realitu a následně zvážit možnosti řešení spíše jen částečná a neúplná? Tento text se snaží o krátký teoretický rozbor slova „racionalita“ a to v pohledu dvou významných autorů v oblasti teorie rozhodování, teorie organizace a teorie veřejné politiky, resp. teorie intervence do společenské reality, Herberta A. Simona a Charlese Lindbloma.

Abstract: In public policy (or social policy) there is „rationality“ of choice often required. But how can we able to be fully rational when intervening into society? Our ability to assess objective way the reality is rather limited. This paper is short theoretical analysis of „rationality“ based on thinking of two important theorists of choice, theorist of organisation Herbert A. Simon and Charles Lindblom.
