Abstrakt: V príspevku sme sa pokúsili o prepojenie myšlienok, historicky významnej osobnosti dejín Slovenska Konštantína Filozofa-sv.Cyrila, ktoré sú obsiahnuté v historickom diele PROGLAS, s našim autorským konceptom Edukačná sociálna práca.

Pastoral Theology versus Social Work
Abstrakt: Existuje len dobrá alebo zlá sociálna práca, nie kresťanská a nenáboženská. Článok sa snaží identifikovať tematické oblasti v teológii, v čom by mohla byť prínosom pre sociálnu prácu. Ide hlavne o kresťanskú motiváciu sociálnych pracovníkov. Ďalšou oblasťou je ponuka sociálnych služieb zahŕňajúca aj spirituálny rozmer, ak si to prijímateľ služby vyžiada. Takisto teológia môže poukazovať na potrebu kritického myslenia pri hľadaní konceptov riešení na špecifické sociálne problémy.

Abstract: There exists only the good or bad social work, not the Christian and non-religious one. The article tries to identify thematic areas in theology, where it could be beneficial to social work. It is mainly about the Christian motivation of social workers. Another area is the proposition of social services including spiritual dimension, in case the service recipient asks for it. At the same time, theology can point out to the need for critical thinking when looking for solutions to specific social problems.

Predkladaná publikácia doc. PaedDr. Ctibora Határa, PhD. sa v rámci odboru andragogika zameriava na problematiku geragogiky, zaoberá sa osobnosťou seniora, starnutím a starobou, edukáciou seniorov a jej vplyvom na kvalitu života seniorov. Súčasná doba sa vyznačuje trendom starnutia populácie, čo sa premieta do všetkých oblastí spoločenského života, a preto je dôležité venovať seniorom náležitú pozornosť a aktívne ich zapájať do diania v spoločnosti, pričom jednou z možností je cielená edukácia seniorov, ktorá má značný vplyv na zvyšovanie kvality ich života. Autor spracoval problematiku na 110 stranách a text publikácie je rozčlenený do piatich kapitol, ktoré na seba logicky nadväzujú. Publikáciu okrem kapitol tvorí úvod, záver a na konci každej kapitoly sa nachádza zoznam použitej a odporúčanej literatúry, ako aj súbor otázok a úloh k analyzovanej téme. Publikácia slúži ako vysokoškolská učebnica.

Abstract: In this paper we present the reasoning of our our author´s innovative concept The educational social work, characterizes the social reality of people in the postmodern age which creates a new identity of social work and a new identity of social client. We based on the assumption that the most effective ways and means of social help is lifelong learning and social education of adults. Justifies the inclusion of the educational social work in the system of social work as the science and emphasize the practical necesity of educational social help to adults.

Fear as the nursing diagnosis in surgical patient
Abstrakt: Operačná terapia sa zvyčajne spája s negatívnym psychickým prežívaním pacienta. Na redukciu strachu u chirurgických pacientov má vplyv aj ošetrovateľská starostlivosť poskytovaná sestrami. Jej základom je dôsledné posudzovanie pacienta a následné stanovenie ošetrovateľských diagnóz. Jednou z najčastejšie stanovovaných ošetrovateľských diagnóz u pacientov pri operačnej terapii je Strach. Článok prináša charakteristiku tejto ošetrovateľskej diagnózy, jej určujúce znaky a súvisiace faktory, hodnotiace nástroje využiteľné pri diagnostike strachu, ako aj očakávané výsledky a ošetrovateľské intervencie v súvislosti s redukciou strachu u pacienta pri operačnej terapii.

Abstract: Surgical therapy are usually associated with negative psychological survival of the patient. A nursing care provided by nurses also affects the reduction of fear in surgical patients. It is based on a rigorous assessment of the patient and the subsequent establishing of nursing diagnoses. One of the most frequently diagnosed nursing diagnoses in patients in surgical therapy is Fear. The article presents the characteristics of this nursing diagnosis, its determinants and related factors, assessment tools useful in the diagnosis of fear, as well as the expected results and nursing interventions related to the reduction of fear in the patient in surgical therapy.

Shift work and prevalance chronic diseases of nurses
Abstrakt: Práca na zmeny má vplyv na kvalitu života, psychické a fyzické zdravie, rodinné vzťahy a pracovný výkon. V dnešnej modernej spoločnosti je práca na zmeny jedným z najrozšírenejších druhov povolania, ktoré ovplyvňuje mnohé profesie v celej pracujúcej populácii v Európe. V dôsledku práce na nočné zmeny sa spánok s optimálnou dĺžkou a kvalitou stáva čoraz dôležitejším faktorom vedúcim k prevencii vzniku mnohých ochorení. U zdravotníckych pracovníkov pracujúcich na nočné zmeny dochádza často k narušeniu cirkadiánnej rytmicity spánkového cyklu. Tieto zmeny majú v priebehu času vplyv na vznik kardiovaskulárnych, gastrointestinálnych, metabolických a iných ochorení. V súvislosti s pracou na nočné zmeny dochádza aj k zvýšeným rizikám chýb/omylov. V rámci preventívnych opatrení zamestnávatelia by mali vytvárať podmienky smerujúce k predchádzaniu negatívnych vplyvov na zdravie u sestier a zdravotníckych pracovníkov a zachovávať bezpečnosť pacientov.

Abstract: Shift work can impact quality of life, psychological and physical health, family relationships, alertness, circadian rhythms and work performance. In modern societies, night work has been recognized as one of the most prevalent occupational factors of the working population in Europe. Night shift work has been thought to play a role in the etiology of chronic diseases and an increased risk of errors and negative patient outcomes through a disruption of the circadian rhythm. Several epidemiology studies to indicate that night shift work over time can contribute to significant health risks for nurses. There is a growing a relationship between nurse night shift work and increased risk of cardiovascular, metabolic or gastrointestinal diseases. Employers and nurses need to know and to create preventive programs that help to prevent negative health risks associated with night shift work.

Emotional intelligence as one of the personality qualities of nurses
Abstrakt: Emocionálna inteligencia je schopnosť poznať a ovládať svoje emócie aj emócie ostatných ľudí, s ktorými sa sestra stretáva počas výkonu svojej profesie. Uplatňuje ju v rámci primárnej, sekundárnej a následnej starostlivosti u jednotlivcov aj v komunite. Emocionálnu inteligenciu tvorí päť základných zložiek a to, sebaovládanie, sebauvedomovanie, sebamotivácia, sociálne schopnosti a empatia. Je dôležité rozvíjať tento osobnostný faktor v rámci pregraduálneho a sústavného vzdelávania sestier.

Abstract: Emotional intelligence is the ability to know and control our emotions and the emotions of other people, that nurse encounters while performing her profession. She applies it in a primary, secondary and follow-up care to both individuals and the community. Emotional intelligence consists of five basic components such as: self-control, self-awareness, self-esteem, social skills, and empathy. It is important to develop this personality factor in the pre-graduate and continuous education of nurses.
